the doula flow
"The doula is calm and collected. She knows how to create a vibration of energy that brings peace to a room. She is loyal, trustworthy, and compassionate. She is wise, intuitive, and educated. She leads you back to your primal instincts.
The doula can also support the partner in supporting the laboring woman. Doula work is an invitation to support the entire family and deepen their relationship through the birthing process."
I provide customizable support for mamas and families in Temecula and surrounding areas throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. It is my intention to give women a chance to love their birth experience. I believe every mama and her partner should have the right to resources and knowledge about pregnancy, birth, and all of the options that are available to them.

Facts About Doulas:
(from Evidenced Based Birth)
Physical support from a doula gives the mother a feeling of comfort and confidence. (i.e. massage, heat/cold compress, applying pressure, feeding, essential oils and herbs)
Emotional support allows the mother to feel empowered and gives her strength. (i.e. words of affirmation, meditations, comforting presence)
Informational support allows parents to feel a sense of control and understanding about what is happening. (i.e. breath or positioning techniques, pain management, birth knowledge)
Advocacy allows the family to feel supported in their ability to make decisions. (i.e. supporting birth plans, facilitating communication)
I can support you from the moment you find out you're pregnant if that's what you want! Some of the things I can support you with during your pregnancy are maintaining high energy, prenatal yoga, doctors appointments, photoshoots, and informational support! I can help you find tons of supplements or herbs for any discomforts you are experiencing. I am also happy to help you with finding good birthing classes or information that you need to feel prepared and informed.
Most people find their doulas to be most helpful during labor and delivery! I can be there with you while you give birth to provide support for you and anyone else that is assisting you. I am happy to assist you whether you decide to give birth in a hospital, a birthing center, or at home with a midwife. Not only will mom love the comforting touch, voice, and support- but her partner will feel supported too! "Fathers have said that when they had labor support from a midwife or doula, things were explained to them, their questions were answered, their labor support efforts were guided and effective, and they could take breaks from the emotional intensity of the labor without abandoning their laboring partner. (EBB)"
I love being there while the family gets to know their newest member! I provide a lot of emotional support at this time while everyone processes the birth experience, mom's hormones regulate, and baby gets familiar with life outside the womb.
It is important to me that you get the care you deserve. I travel often, and will only commit to families that I can give my full attention to. If you are expecting and desire to work with me, please contact me about support and let me know your approximate due date.
I am happy to provide support at a price that works for your growing family. We can work out a package that works for your budget and your birth plan.
It is also important to note that I will support ALL types of birth. My job is to provide you with support and resources. I am honored to hold a non-judgmental space for you to feel safe.
"You found your calling. This is what you are meant to do. You were absolutely amazing with me. You were able to ease my pain in ways I didn't know was possible. So grateful for you. Any mama would be so blessed to have your support. I can never thank you enough for your role in our amazing birth."

"Kristen came right after my surgery in the hospital, where my daughter was unfortunately separated from me and placed in the NICU.
She stood my ground for me, she was my voice, and my reassurance. She got me to see my daughter, nurse my daughter for the first time and make sure we got the skin to skin contact we so desperately needed... I couldn't imagine what it would have been like had I not had her there!"
